New Products

We have created a new sweet dip especially for the upcoming festive season.  Our Pumpkin Pie dip is now ready. It has been test tasted and marketed at our shows and has met with the public’s approval.  It can be served with Digestives and uses the same base mix as our other dips.

With Christmas gifts in mind, this year we are offering one dip gift baskets at £4.00, a two dip gift basket at £6 and a Dippy Mug with sachets of Mulled Wine mix and Spiced Apple Untoddy mix in a gift bag for £7.50.  We are also offering a small hamper with a magnetic closure for £15 that holds one dip, one Dippy Crust, one popcorn, one Mulled Wine mix and one Spiced Apple Untoddy and a large hamper with a magnetic closure containing two dips, two Dippy Crusts, one popcorn, sachets of Mulled Wine mix and sachets of Spiced Apple Untoddy for £20.  In keeping with our green philosophy, the gift baskets are made from palm leaves which drop naturally from Indian palm trees and are cleaned with spring water then pressed into the shape of a bowl or platter.  Each bowl or platter may be used to serve food and is bio-degradable.

Take a look at our recipe page. There is a new recipe for Piri Piri Chicken. While our Piri Piri dip mix can be quite hot, when made with chicken this way it loses much of its spicy flavour.

The end of summer is fast approaching.  We hope your holidays were filled with all good things.  We have been busy in the Dippy kitchen. We are working on two new dips, one sweet and one savoury, just in time for the Christmas holidays.  We will hope to start introducing them towards the end of October. 

August was the last month for our Citrus Delight Dip.  In October we will be bringing back the Victorian Secret.  September will be the last month for our homemade American-style lemonade.  October will see the return of our Mulled Wine mix and our Spiced Apple Un-Toddy mix. 

SHIPPING NEWS

We have great news for our customers.  Beginning September 1, 2011, we will be offering free shipping on all orders delivered in the U.K.  This offer will continue through December 14, 2011.    We have eliminated both the packaging and postage charges for this period on a trial basis. Those charges still apply to international orders. 

Our new line of Dippy Crusts has been well received by the public at the events we have attended around the country.  They have been so popular that we are extending the special offer to our online customers.  If you purchase three Dippy Crusts, we will include a free silicon mini bread loaf mould.    They are available while supplies last.  We are the first U.K. company to offer a flavoured bread mix in this format.     Don’t miss out on something fun, unique and yet quite practical. 

There have been a few changes to our fantastic gourmet popcorn.  The first change that we made was to package all of the flavours in the same coloured box, a rich butter yellow.  This is reminiscent of the glorious deep yellow colour of both butter and corn.  We have added two new flavours to the line: Sour Cream & Onion and Cajun. 

Up until now, the only ways to pop our gourmet popping corn was in a pan on top of the hob or in an air popper.  While this was fun for the family, it could be a little inconvenient for busy adults. We’ve been experimenting in the Dippy kitchen and can now offer our customers a way to microwave our popcorn.  As an option, we offer 5 bags for microwaving for only £0.50. If you want to feel like you are in the cinema on movie night, we also offer 3 theatre-style popcorn boxes for £1.00.

NEW PRODUCT

Recently, we've been working events where both stall holders and the public have been staying in tents, caravans, camper vans and motor homes.  We have had many requests for ready-made dips.  Unfortunately due to costs, overhead and waste, it's not affordable to pre-make a lot of dip in hopes that we might sell them.  We are not unsympathetic to our customer’s requests.  In response we have created the Dip Kit.  It contains everything you need to make up one of our dips. In the kit is a dip of your choice, a 250 ml jar of your choice of full fat or low fat mayonnaise (enough to make up the complete dip) and a packet of bread sticks for dipping into your made up dip.  Another practical solution for all of our customers.  We’re Going Dippy! So our customers don’t have to.

We hope you are enjoying the beginning of the summer months.  You will notice by our events calendar that we are sticking closer to home with the shows we are attending.  We will soon have some new photos in our gallery of shows we have attended.

PRODUCT NEWS

Normally at this time of year we offer a creamy cucumber dip.  We have chosen to voluntarily withdraw this dip until the exact source of this new and more aggressive E-coli strain has been determined.  We regret any inconvenience this has caused our clients who enjoy this dip.

We have retired the Red Ribbon Chocolates for the summer.  As they have no preservatives, the heat turns our chocolate bars into a chocolate puddle.  So, we will bring them back in October. 

Our American-style Lemonade has made a successful return.  This refreshing beverage has no preservatives and makes a welcome change from fizzy drinks when you want something cold to quench your thirst.  Currently, we only sell it at our events, but we hope to begin selling it in small quantities in local shops. 

We have begun introducing a new line called Dippy Crusts and Dippy Fingers.         The Dippy Crusts are mini loaves of bread with different dip mixes incorporated.  The Dippy Fingers are rolled puff pastry with different dip mixes incorporated.    While the Dippy Fingers will only be sold at events, the Dippy Crusts are now available on our website.
